Sinterklaas and the Pieten have a big problem. The castle of Sinterklaas is about to collapse. It must be demolished. That is why Sinterklaas and the Pieten are forced to stay at a campsite. Even Hugo Hogepief is at a loss, because no castle means no presents and gingerbread cookies for the children. Even though Kim Kado, Marco Marsepein and Willem Wortel try their utmost, there is a huge chance that the Sinterklaas party will not happen. But is the castle of Sinterklaas really about to collapse or is it a cunning plan by Stan & Olivier? Kikkie and Paco don't trust everything and start an investigation. Behind-the-scenes vignettes highlight the message that in a movie everything is not quite as it seems.

Sinterklaas (Dutch for `Saint Nicholas`, a Santa Clause-like traditional figure in Europe) and his mischievous assistant Zwarte Piet (Dutch for `Black Pete`) are staying in their secret castle, preparing to bring all good children their yearly gifts. In each episode, television celebrity Bart Peeters pays them a visit, trying to learn what it takes to make the feast into a success.

Albert is an eccentric inventor of missiles who comes under fire from his investors when his first prototype explodes. Even his sympathetic mistress has her doubts, as Albert lashes out in a verbal tirade condemning those of little faith in his genius.
